Why not come and join us?
During our season, usually starting in September and finishing at the end of May, we meet every Tuesday at 19.30 sharp at Christ Church, Christ Church Court, (off Ireton Road and Maldon Road), Colchester CO3 3AU. During the summer we meet informally for photo shoots and other events. Further details can be found on the WHAT’S ON page.
Annual Subscriptions

Members and those joining are encouraged to pay their annual subscription on line and details are available from the Treasurer: treasurer@colchesterphotosoc.co.uk
* Country Membership is available to ex-members who live in counties outside of Essex and Suffolk and to those who live abroad.
Visitors
Visitors and those seeking to join the Society are welcome at any of the meetings but are restricted to those over 18 years of age. A visitor’s fee, normally £3 per evening, but occasionally £5 for special events will be charged and visitors should sign the Visitors’ Book.
N.B. Disabled adults are most welcome to attend club nights but they should be accompanied by an adult if such is considered necessary for their own care, safety and well-being. Where appropriate, full use should be made of the wheelchair lift that is available through the doors on the left hand side of the inner vestibule to enter and exit the main hall rather than risk using the stairs.
Prospective Members
The club is very popular and so maintains a waiting list for joining but we do run various events for those on the waiting list. Prospective members are welcome at any of the meetings however they are restricted to those over 18 years of age. To make an application to join the society download the Application Form from the link below. Once you have filled in the form please bring it with you on your first visit to one of our meetings.
Please note that we do not operate on “first-come-first-served” basis driven by the so called “waiting list”. In this regard such a list is best seen simply as a list of people who have specifically expressed an interest in joining the Society.
