About Jane Barrett
A long-time member of Benfleet Camera Club and more recently The Beyond Group, I have always had a fascination for photography and in particular the printed image. I love the challenge of capturing that moment in time which would normally be a fleeting instant often missed in a blink of an eye, such as a bird taking off or a canoeist being swamped by water.
My photography is so much more to me than just taking the ‘competitive photograph’, in 2014 I started ‘Image Chasers’ a website where I could exhibit the images that I enjoyed capturing but may never see the light of day in a competition. Most of all it is also an escape, those quiet moments of contemplation either searching for an image or sat in a hide waiting for something to happen does wonders for my overall well-being.
