Halstead Twin Town 6 Way PDI International Competition	5th October 2017 Judged by Ron Tear, ARPS, MPAGB, PSA3, BPE3. Colchester won this year. 1st Colchester 213 points 2nd Halstead 193 points 3rd Wetzlar 187 points 4th Haubourdinois 185 points 5th Braintree 163 points.
Chelmsford 4 Cs Trophy (Panel of 6)	14th October 2017 Judged by Richard Walton FRPS MPAGB EFIAP BPE3* Two members entered panels but unfortunately neither were placed. A creative entry from Ann Miles of Cambridge Camera Club won the event.
Colchester Photographic Society 8 x 8 Print Competition	17th October 2017 Judged by: Dr. Julie Hutson DPAGB. Colchester retained the trophy for this event.
North Essex PDI Trophy Competition at Christ Church, Colchester	14th November 2017 Judged by: Nick Akers LRPS Colchester retained the trophy in a close competition that went to a tie break with Arlesford.
The GB Cups for Projected Images	These are held each January. Clubs enter directly, without any pre-qualification. Awards are made to the winning Clubs. A number of awards are declared for individual images and groups of images. The result of our entry in the Nature competition can be seen here. Cambridge Camera Club PDI Trophy at Whittlesford	20th January 2018 Judged by: David Gibbins, ARPS, APAGB, EFIAP/b, BPE3* We came equal 5th this year out of 35 clubs. There was an initial tie for first place broken by reserve images and a 3 way tie for 3rd place. Full results can be found here.
EAF PDI Championships at Fulbourn	4th February 2018 Judges: Rikki O’Neill, FRPS,MPAGB, FIFP, HonSPF Malcolm Kus, ARPS, DPAGB, EFIAP/b Giapiero Ferrai, FRPS, DPAGB, MBPE, AFIAP Our Club came joint 3rd. Full results can be found here and here.
Mersea Island Challenge Trophy - 2018	There are 5 other clubs in our group. Dingwall - 5th February 2018 - Judged by David Hay. Colchester came joint bottom. Colchester - 6th February 2018 - Judged by Ron Tear the Club won this round, scores here. East Ipswich - February 6th 2018 - Judged by Howard King. Colchester came 3rd. X Rolls Royce - February 7th 2018 - Judged by Chris Palmer North Norfolk - February 21st 2018 - Judged by David Steel Wakefield - February 26th 2018 - Judged by Howard Tate Mersea - April 5th 2018 Final - Judged by Barbie Lindsey : Result can be found here.
Witham Shield (PDI’s / Prints) at Witham Camera Club	9th February 2018 Judge: Howard King. Colchester won this event.
EAF Print Championships at Fulbourn	4th March 2018 Judges Bob Moore, HonFRPS, MPAGB, HonPAGB Sue Moore, FRPS, MPAGB Howard Tate, MA(Photo), ARPS, AFIAP. The club came fifth and Roy Essery’s print Sisters was chosen as best print of the Championship.
Braintree Monochrome Shield (Prints) at Braintree Camera Club	6th March 2018 Judge: Paul Radden, LRPS, DPAGB, EFIAP, PSA2* Another win for Colchester and a successful competition not only for the Club but also for Roy who was awarded a new trophy donated by the immediate past Chairman of Braintree Camera Club, Mike Childs, for the Best Print for his image “Sisters”.
Colchester v Wetzlar 2018	April 2018 Colchester Judge: Daphne Hanson Wetzlar Judge: Richard Stephan The format of this years competition was changed. Last year resulted in a win for Wetzlar. The club has won both rounds this year.
Maldon Challenge Trophy (Monochrome Prints / PDI’s) at Maldon	7th April 2018 Judge Kevin Herbert Result was a tie for 1st place last year with Chelmsford.
Annual PDI & Print Battle with Ipswich & DPS at Christ Church, Colchester	16th April 2018 Judge: Howard King A close fought battle resulted in a win for Ipswich with only one point in it.
Sudbury Shield (Prints / PDI’s) at Long Melford	26th May 2018 Judged by Howard King The club won this competition.
